Classwork and homework

Alsalamu Alaikum,

Today we had a great day alhamdulilah!

Spelling:
  •  Students wrote their spelling test.
  •   You will noticed that there are two different marks one is out of six for the six words that were given last week and they other mark is out of two.  This mark is new I asked the students to write a sentence using the word "drop"  one mark was given for starting with a capital and the other mark for having an end mark.  This is something that we have been doing since the beginning of the year and I remind them every writing class.
  • Students wrote the new list words in various ways order in their Spelling books. We read the new list words.
  • Don't forget to use Spelling City (test#15) for next week.

Math: Page 136.
Home connection:  Hide an object in your home. Give clues to its location and invite your child to hunt for it.

Social Studies: Students worked in groups on their project (My Community)

Reminders:
  •  Homework pack is due on Tuesday.
  • Abraar School has been participating in the MS-Read-A-Thon for the past eight years. We feel that this is an important cause because so many people are afflicted by this debilitating disease, and by working together, we can make a difference, inshaAllah.

Today the students had the MS-Read-A-Thon assembly in the gym, and at the same time, it is a kick-off for the read-a-thon.
