Classwork and Homework

Alsalamu Alaikum,

Today we had a great day alhamdulilah!

Reading: Students sat on the carpet and I read If I Built a Car for the third time.
  • Please complete the Story Response Log (Your child will retell If I Built a Car)

Spelling: Students read the new list words and put them in sentences. They filled in the missing letters to complete the list words in their spelling books.

Math: We sat on the carpet and explored different 3-D shapes. Students completed a worksheet identifying 2-D and 3-D shapes.
  • Draw three 2-D figures and write the number of corners and sides each figure has.
  • Students cut out and pasted pictures in the correct place after reading the directions (positional words).
Gym: We played People to People. 

Social Studies: Students finished their group project on Communities.



Reminders: 
  • Please make sure you have your child pray with you at home.
  • Homework pack (due on Tuesday)
  • Read a story a day.
  • Students have a spelling quiz on Monday. Don't forget to use Spelling City!
  • Today students took their school pictures.

Classwork and Homework

Today we had a great day alhamdulilah!

Writing: Students wrote sentences about being responsible (I am Responsible)

Math: Students worked in groups and made a
 2D shapes monster using all different shapes.

Social Studies: Students worked in groups on their project (My Community)



Reminders:

  •  This week I will be looking at students' behaviour with respect to responsibility and I will be evaluating their performance.

Classwork and Homework

Alsalamu Alaikum,

Today we had a great day alhamdulilah!

Reading: Sr. Madlien came to class and students designed their folders where they will be placing the worksheets they complete with Sr. Madlien (Story Log)

Writing: Students wrote sentences about being responsible (I am Responsible)
Math: Students did a worksheet identifying 3D and 2D 
shapes.

Social Studies:  Students are still working on their community projects.  Today they add  buildings and started to add colour to their community.

Art:  Students started to paint their canvas.

Homework and Reminders:

  • Homework pack (due on Tuesday).  Some students did not take their orange folder back I will will it back tomorrow Insha Allah
  • Students may design a car to show to the class tomorrow. (using 2-D figures)
  •  This week I will be looking at students' behaviour with respect to responsibility and I will be evaluating their performance.
