Meet the teacher night

Asalam Alikum dear parents,

Thank you for coming tonight, it was very nice to meet most of you.  If you have any questions or would like to set a meeting to discuss your child progress please feel free to e-mail me and book an appointment.  I'm available during Arabic, French and Qur'an classes.

If you did not have a chance to come tonight I will be sending the long range plan with the students on Monday.

Homework

• Math- page 37 home connection ( practise estimating have your child write down their estimates and then count the items and write the correct number. I want them to know that it is okay to write an incorrect number,  some students are still erasing their estimates. I told them that is a guessing game.)
• Printing-  letters x,y and z masha Allah they have finished.  Please encourage your child to continue printing the way we have practise I will be encouraging it in class.  If your child needs extra practise I will be sending worksheets home.
• Reading-  read any book at least 5 min let your child sound out words or part of words to encourage reading.  You may try reading a sentence and have them repeat it after you

Thursday 27th, 2012

Asalam Alikum.

Hamdulillah the weather was perfect for the Terry Fox Run and the students had a great time while    walking or run.  Thank you to all the participants. Monday is the final day for fund raising.

I would like to thank Zaid and his family for the nice lunch they provided for the students, every one enjoyed it and appreciated it.  The loot bags were a extremely nice gesture Masha Allah.  May Allah reward you for your kindness.


Just a quick reminder that tomorrow Friday 28th is a half day, students should be picked up by 12pm.

The homework for today is as follows:

• Math: page 36 home connection
• Printing letters V and W
• Read for at least 5 minutes
• Some students borrowed books from the class library please make sure to send them back tomorrow.

Lunch surprise

Asalam Alikum dear parents,

Insha Allah tomorrow lunch will be provided by Zaid's parents.  To thank his family and him I have asked the students to write him a thank you note or draw a picture for him.

Tomorrow will be the Terry Fox Run.
 Money collected by the run will be sent to help in finding a cure to cancer, may Allah protect us and our families from this sickness!

Have your child bring a bottle of water and proper running shoes.  Students do not have to run the entire time.  If your child wishes to walk or sit out part of the time they are welcome to do so.  If your child has not yet send the form in please do so by tomorrow or they will not be able to join their friends.

• practise surat atteen 1-8
