Classwork and Homework.

Dear Parents,

I hope and pray that all of you are doing well, Inshaa Allah. Today we had a wonderful day alhamdulilah!  It was very nice to see all the students ready to learn.

Writing:  students started working on their rough draft for their book.

Spelling: students are learning words with the S blend.

Math:  Students sang a song about time.  They made a wrist watch and worked on page 55 and 56.  Complete the Home connection portion at home.

Gym: Students did a warm up and played with skipping ropes.

Quran: Please practice Surah Al-layl Ayah 15 to 18.

Reading:  I read "Will You Fill My bucket".  Students were given their new "Read With Me" form.

Reminders:

• Homework will be sent home today. For the oral presentations all the students were given a country which they need to research.
• Fill out the hot lunch form if you are interested in purchasing.
• Dress for the weather and speak to your child about not taking their jackets off outside or getting into the puddles of mud.

Please make sure that your child dresses properly for tomorrow's filed trip. We will be outside for most of the day.

Islamic Studies:  students reviewed the lesson on Kindness.

Library: students went tot he library and checked books out.

Math:  Students sang a song about time.  They made a wrist watch and worked on page 52.  Complete the Home connection portion at home.

Spelling: students wrote their spelling test.

Gym: Students did a warm up and played frisbee.

Quran: Please practice Surah Al-layl Ayah 15 to 18.

Reading:  I read "The Napping House".  Students were given their new "Read With Me" form.

Reminders:

• Homework will be sent home tomorrow.
• Return field trip form no later than tomorrow is you would like your child to take part.
• Fill out the hot lunch form and Milk Program if you are interested in purchasing.
• Dress for the weather and speak to your child about not taking their jackets off outside or getting into the puddles of mud.
• I still need one volunteer for our filed trip on Wednesday.

Computer Lab:  Some of the students had a chance to complete their Raz reading assignment Masha Allah.

Math:  Students listen to a song about coins and their value. They complete page 53 and 54 please help your child revise.  Complete the Home connection portion at home.

Language: Tr. Nazz came in and introduced the guided reading program with the students.

Art: Students completed their ginger bread housed using 2d shapes.

Reminders:

• Homework is due on Monday.
• Return field trip form by Monday.
• Fill out the hot lunch form and Milk Program if you are interested in purchasing.
• Dress for the weather and speak to your child about not taking their jackets off outside or getting into the puddles of mud.
• I still need two more volunteers for our filed trip on Wednesday.

Islamic Studies:  We have started to read about the meaning of Ummah.

Math:  We put some picture in proper sequence.  Please the home connection portion at home page 46

Spelling: Students stated to work on lesson #26.

Gym: Students played soccer.

 Reading:  If you Give a Mouse a Cookie.  Please remember to complete the read with me sheets and send them in.

Talent Show

The Parent Support Team (PST) will be hosting Abraar School’s 2015 Talent Show. This event aims to showcase the talents of the Abraar community.  In previous years, the Talent Show has been a great success enjoyed by all and we hope to see many more Abraarians take part this year.

I hope and pray that all of you are doing well, In shaa Allah. Today we had a wonderful day alhamdulilah!

Writing:  We have started to write a book which we will publish insha Allah.. 

Math:  We have started a new unit.  Time, Temperature and Money.
Please sing page 44.

Spelling: Students need to complete page 100.

Quran: The students are working on surah  Ad-Duha from Ayah 1 to 3.

Reminders:

- The "Read with Me" program has started.  Please do not forget to send sheet #1 in by tomorrow insha Allah.
I would like to see all the students participating in this program.

-Library field trip tomorrow.  

- Do not forget to send food items for the "Sadaqa Food Bank",  For each item brought to school the students will earn free time insha Allah.

- The March break is just around the corner and I am looking for pet sitters.  If you and your child are interested in helping please send me an e-mail.  Many of the students are excited about helping with the pets. All the students know all our pets well and know how to care for them alhamdulillah.
